#DELL LATITUDE E6440 WIFI SWITCH DRIVERS#

I have installed Windows 7 Service pack 1 and I have downloaded all of the drivers available from the Dell Support website. The problem is the same with the entire string of computers our company purchased, but I really only care about mine specifically, as I am the only one using Cat5 and Ethernet for my job. I have been issue this one thru my institution, I am an Information Systems Technician, and I have almost completed my next degree in Computer Science. I am the proud owner or atleast I was indeed issued a Dell Latitude E6440 Service Tag 7JW6TY1 I've also sent you a private message yesterday asking for the service tags of the affected systems - if you could reply to that, it would be a massive help. I appreciate that the above may seem like overkill but these are questions that I would be asked to confirm when escalating your issue, given that multiple systems are experiencing this problem. To ensure I describe the situation correctly, when an Ethernet cable is connected to the system, do you receive no NIC link lights (either a solid coloured LED or a flashing LED when the cable is connected ) when the system is in the BIOS screen?Īlso, if you are able, does the same behaviour occur when attempting to connect a different network via Ethernet cable? You state that you get no link lights at all when using the dock or directly connecting an Ethernet cable to the system also, in your initial post, you state that the NIC is not active in the BIOS.

I may have jumped the gun in my previous reply. I've checked our internal info sites and there's nothing to suggest that there is a larger issue affecting the NICs in Latitude E6440 and E6540 systems.
